PATCH TESTS

Do I need a patch test if I am a new client?

Yes, if any of the following applies to you:

  • You’re new to the salon and have not previously been patch tested.

  • There has been a change in the products used.

  • There has been a change in your medical history.

  • There has been over 12 months since your last appointment.

Patch tests help to identify potential allergic reactions, ensure colour compatibility and ultimately enhances safety for both clients and professionals.

Please note: 

Patch tests require bookings. All bookings are made via direct message or WhatsApp. The booking system number is not contactable. If clients turn up unannounced, they may have to wait around to be seen.

BOOKINGS

How do I book in an appointment?

Please direct message or message on WhatsApp to book an appointment. Please note, in order to book, we need a picture of your hair in natural daylight, a brief summary of your hair colour history, confirmation if you have ever used box dyes and details/pictures of what you would like to achieve at your appointment.

If you are looking for an exact date and time, please allow a months notice for colour services and one and a half months notice for weekend appointments. For hair cuts, colouring or blowdry appointments, please allow two weeks notice. We will try our best to accommodate for everyone.
 
Please allow up to 48-72 hours for a reply. An appointment is not confirmed until you have a confirmation message and have sent a deposit.

Where are you based? I can't find the address.

The new salon address is under IG10.
The closest station is Debden, however, driving or getting a cab is recommended.
 
The new address will be given once your appointment is secured.

PRICING

What could cause the price to change after receiving an online quote?

When you receive an online estimate, it serves as a rough guide for your service cost. However, once we see your hair in person, there might be some adjustments.

 

In-salon prices may vary by £30-£60 based on; hair thickness, hair type, hair length, haircut requirements and your desired transformation.

No need to worry! We’ll always discuss your budget and make sure you're comfortable before starting. While larger transformations take more time and work, we’ll always be transparent about the costs.

Clients are welcome to request 'emergency' appointments, however these requests will mean an extra charge is taken for the service booked.

POLICIES

When booking with us you are agreeing inclusively to the below policy summary.

* When booking with LMA hair you are consenting to content photos to be taken of yourself from the front and back profile. Hijabs are exempt.

* Booking fees are non-refundable.

* To cancel your basic appointments with LMA hair we require 48 hours notice, however, the booking fee remains non-refundable.

* We require two weeks' notice to reschedule a colour or keratin appointment. Anything outside of this time frame will incur a £30 non deductible 
rebooking fee.

* For maintenance appointments such as cuts, toners, and blow-dries - we require one week's notice to reschedule the appointment if it falls on a weekend otherwise there is a £10 rescheduling fee.
 For appointments, during the week we require 48 hours' notice.

* We require clients to be wholly truthful about their hair history to avoid losing their deposit.

* If you do not show to your appointment you will not be able to book again.

* Prices quoted online are 'from' - rough estimates - and depend on thickness and length.

* All new clients require a full-colour service.

* If you are late to your appointment, you will be charged £5 every 5 minutes the later you arrive. If you are over 30 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled or adjusted.
